Brief Biography

Grant Jacobsen, PhD, is an associate professor at the University of Oregon who specializes in environmental economics and policy.  His research has addressed topics related to renewable energy, energy efficiency, air pollution, extraction of natural gas and oil, carbon offsets, and climate change awareness.  He has published articles in leading academic journals, including the Economic Journal, the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal of Public Economics, and the Journal of Environmental Economics & Management. He has served as a program reviewer for the U.S. Department of Energy and as an adviser to the Eugene Water & Electric Board.
