The Springfield, Oregon, news station KMTR highlighted the Sustainable City Year Program for a project with the Lane Transit District that provides an opportunity for students to acquire real-world experience. Through the program, students from the School of Planning, Public Policy and Management along with those from several other departments across the university are working with LTD to identify transit needs, from integrating bike-shares to improving service to surrounding small towns.
