The School of Planning, Public Policy and Management's alumnus, H.E. Talal bin Sulaiman bin Habib Al Rahbi, was named as Oman’s new Ambassador to the United States of America on March 17 by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. Al Rahbi, '04 MPA, is currently serving as the Ambassador to Brazil and has been awarded the prestigious Juscelino Kubitschek Medal of Honour for his exceptional work.

Al Rahbi, who was also the Deputy Secretary General to the Supreme Council for Planning, has also earned the highest civilian honour in Oman, conferred to him by the Late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, and '17 PPPM Awards Distinguished Alumnus award.
